Cynthia Erivo is set to play Aretha Franklin in National Geographic’s “Genius” anthology, and now we’ve got our first look at her performance. A new trailer for the eight-part series has just dropped, which has producer Jerry Wexler asking Aretha, “What kind of music do you want to make, with Erivo responding, “I want to make hits.” "Genius: Aretha" is set to premiere May 25th.
