Gabby Barrett unveiled a sneak peek of an unreleased, faith-focused anthem as she seeks input on which song should be her next one to release.
Barrett said in a clip she shared on Instagram on Wednesday evening (March 25), “I need help picking what to release next.” She went on to reveal a snippet of “In On It” as the first option: “Keep betting on a dream/ Even when you can’t win on it/ Keep holding on/ When you’re way out on a limb on it/ Might be your hands/ But He’s got His fingerprints on it/ God’s got a plan/ Even if you ain’t in on it/ Take all the nights that you don’t think you can take anymore/ Take all the weight that you can’t carry/ Let it fall to the floor/ Lift up your hands/ And put an amen on it/ God’s got a plan/ Even if you ain’t in on it.”
Barrett shared a second option on Instagram on Thursday (March 26), titled “Every Minute Of It”: “And it ain’t up to me/ Funny how it always happens/ You make plans/ And you hear God laughing/ Tired of holding onto what I thought I wanted/ I’m letting go/ And lovin’ every minute of it/ This life will leave you breathless/ Just when you least expect/ You’re high, you’re low/ You’re livin’ and you’re learning from it/ I’m letting go/ And lovin’ every minute of it.”
The former American Idol contestant’s new music will follow “Ain’t Supposed To Be,” a romantic ballad that made its debut in October 2025, and “The Easy Part,” a breakup single released in August 2025 that Barrett described as “a distant cousin” to her breakout cheating anthem, “I Hope.” Barrett premiered the music video for “The Easy Part” earlier this month.
She also hinted that more music is in the works. On her Instagram story on March 4, the singer-songwriter confirmed, “yes, new music is coming soon.” Barrett also teased, “possibly a bigger body of work toward the end of this year… album 3? 👀” However, she has not confirmed additional information since then. Barrett’s debut album, Goldmine, released in 2020. Her sophomore record, Chapter & Verse, followed in 2024. Watch the sneak peeks of “In On It” and “Every Minute Of It” below.
