Carrie Underwood had the best “how it started,” “how it’s going” clip on her social media channels on Friday (July 22). The powerhouse singer-songwriter shared a throwback clip from childhood, covering the iconic early 1990s hit, “Blame It On Your Heart” by Patty Loveless.

The clip transitions to a recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Underwood took the legendary stage to cover the same song, as the venue honors ‘90s country and the biggest artists of that era (including Alan JacksonMartina McBrideGarth BrooksTrisha YearwoodReba McEntire and many more). Many ‘90s country fans will undoubtedly know Loveless’ song:

“Someone's gonna do you like you've done me, honey/ And when she does you like she'll do you, it ain't funny/ You'll need some sympathy/ But don't be calling me/ Hey, blame it on your lying, cheating/ Cold, dead beatin', two timin', double dealin’/ Mean, mistreatin', lovin' heart.”

The Grand Ole Opry launched its “Opry Loves The ‘90s” attraction, which ““celebrates the artists, songs and songwriters that defined the music in the 1990s.” The exhibit — packed with iconic wardrobe pieces and artifacts from milestone moments by beloved artists who are Opry members — is set to run through December 31.
