For the last day of Hanukkah, HAIM gifted the world with a hilarious cover of The Waitresses' 1981 holiday hit "Christmas Wrapping" and aptly named it "Christmas Wrapping 2020 (All I Want for Christmas is a Vaccine)." The timely tune features Thundercat on bass and lyrics written by Slave Play playwright Jeremy O. Harris. Women in Music Pt. III producer Ariel Rechtshaid helmed the festive tune.
Though the song generally focuses on the depressing aspects of 2020 ("Spent too many days this year / On Tik Tok, drinking wine, and weeping"), it also references the trio's exciting Album of the Year Grammy nomination and Taylor Swift calling herself the "4th Haim sister" after the band collaborated on her evermore track "No Body, No Crime."
The song is accompanied by an equally entertaining lyric video that features the sisters dressed in gaudy outfits and showing off some pretty sweet dance moves.
"HAPPY HANUKKAH!! presenting our FIRST EVER holiday song: Christmas Wrapping 2020 (All I Want for Christmas is a Vaccine) 🔯🎄," HAIM wrote on Instagram. "We hope this song helps you get through the holiday season."

On a more serious note, the Haim sisters have experienced the tragic effects of COVID-19 firsthand. Over the summer, they revealed that a "very close family friend" was hospitalized with the virus, which caused a delay in releasing their Grammy-nominated album.
As for the vaccine, the first doses of Pfizer's were administered in the United States on Monday (December 14). The Dolly Parton-funded Moderna vaccine is also on course to be granted emergency authorization by the Food and Drug Administration by the end of the week.
