Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins are expecting their third daughter anytime now. Ahead of the baby's arrival, Rhett says he's completely at peace.
"We're all really excited," Rhett shared with his record label. "Before I had kids, I never really imagined that I would be this at-peace with two, and one on the way."
"I thought I'd be like, 'What in the world is happening?' But me and Lauren were actually talking the other day about, even though our lives are insanely chaotic, and we never really stopped going and we just keep growing our family, we really do feel, right now, that we're at a more peaceful spot than we've ever been," Rhett explained.
The country singer, who is already a proud dad to 4-year-old Willa Gray and 2-year old Ada James, says "maybe we found the calm in the crazy somehow," adding, "but we're excited. And you know, Willa Gray and Ada always are touching Lauren's stomach and we're just pumped."
Akins previously admitted she hoped the baby would arrive early, however, that did not end up being the case as the due date of February 3 has passed.
Rhett and Akins announced they are expecting another baby girl in July. "Excited to share that I will now be paying for 3 weddings😂," Thomas wrote on Instagram. "I feel so blessed to say that our third child is on the way and it’s a girl!! I love you so much @laur_akins. WG and AJ, y’all are gonna be the best big sisters! Bring on the crazy."
After spending some time at home with his family, Rhett will kick off his "Center Point Road Tour" in May. Cole Swindell and Hardy will be joining him out on the road as opening acts. Tickets for the tour are available now.
