(Toledo, OH) Toledo taxpayers will fund another summer of fun at city pools.
Work is underway to get the splash pad at Savage Park ready for summer fun. Toledo city officials say the water feature will open this year, despite concerns about vandalism that caused major damage last year.
Police will install a surveillance camera and increase patrols at the park to deter vandals. Meantime, city leaders expect to have all six pools open on time after a round of preseason maintenance.
But Toledo's top brass has not yet released an opening date for the city's pools and splash pad.
