November 4th. Its NOT over yet! What Do You Do With the Sign When it Is?

WHO: Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful

WHAT: Campaign Sign Collection and Recycling

WHEN: November 3rd - 15th

It is estimated that political candidates create an average of 1 sign per 30 registered voters. With over 400,000 voters in Lucas and Wood Counties, that equals 13,000 signs per candidate.

These signs cannot be recycled in your curbside recycling or at recycling drop-off locations. Even the cardboard signs are coated in a plastic film, making them unable to be recycled locally.  

After the election, Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful will be collecting Campaign Signs. These will be send to unique recycler, that specialize in recycling political signs.

Collection of these hard-to-recycle items will be at the following locations:

  • ·Lucas County DemocraticHeadquarters – 1817 Madison Ave. Toledo OH 43604.
  • Wood County DemocraticHeadquarters – 455 S. Main St. Bowling Green OH 43402.
  • City of Perrysburg Department of Public Services –11980 Roachton Rd. Perrysburg OH 43551.
  • The Lucas County Solid Waste Management District –1011 Matzinger Rd. Toledo, OH 43612.
