Miranda Lambert’s studio hustle is real.
Despite dropping her Marfa Tapes collaboration album with Jack Lambert and Jon Randall, as well as a duet with Elle King in 2021, the singer's ninth studio album is in the works. In a recent interview, the country titan admitted that it's "not far" away, while "Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” still making noise on country radio.
The follow-up to 2019's Wildcard has been in the works for some time as Lambert admitted she’s back to her usual work pace post-quarantine. Writing, alongside Caylee Hammack and Lainey Wilson, has also helped her prepare her voice for upcoming shows, which include her CMA Summer Jam set at the end of the month.
In addition to working on the collection, Lambert recently opened her Casa Rosa bar in Nashville's South Broadway neighborhood and it seems as if her foray into the restaurant industry has been smooth. "I went there for a 'Sunday Funday’ that was supposed to be an afternoon ’Sunday Funday’ but became an all-day thing," she said during a recent episode of Bobby Bones’ podcast. "Jon Pardi stopped by, too. [Overall, though] It’s nice to have a place where I can be a part of what’s happening on Broadway in a little bit of a ’safe environment.' It’s fun to have a spot where I love the food and drinks. It’s been a blast."
