4.0 Earthquake Rumbles Northeast Ohio

EASTLAKE, Ohio - Ohio was struck Monday by a rare earthquake.

The United States Geological Survey confirmed a 4.0 earthquake struck around 10:50am, with an epicenter just north of Eastlake. The quake was recorded at a depth of 3.1 miles. The USGS says the shaking lasted just over one second.

There was no reported damage from the quake and no measurable aftershocks have struck.
